Existing timeline Q: setting a "zoom out" maximum

If I have an existing timeline, is there a way to constrict the earliest and latest dates it shows? E.g., if no event will predate 1970 or extend past 2030, can I set those dates as the start and end so that if zoom out (or scroll left or right) it can't go past those dates?

Hi, You can change the scrolling options of the timeline so that it doesn't scroll past the first and last events of the timeline. You can do this under Display Settings (the paintbrush icon) under the Scrolling options. If you select "Restrict scrolling to first/last event", it won't scroll past the first and last event of the timeline. You can therefore add a "Start" event and an "End" event to represent the areas you don't want to scroll past. When you zoom in and out, it will still show more dates than these on the edges - it just won't scroll so that there is no event off screen. You can change the zoom limits so that it doesn't zoom out too much in Timeline Settings (the cog icon), under Zoom Limits. Jess
