Hi I just tried to use the menu export csv/text and I discovered that all my french characters like accent have been replaced by their hex equivalent then the file is not usable as such Moreover the date format exported is not also usable as the starting and ending date contain hours which I don't want just wanted the dated like 22/11/2018. Can it be corrected at some point ? My system is MacOS Sierra thanks Bruno

Hi Bruno, Sorry you have been having issues exporting with Aeon Timeline. Unfortunately at the moment the csv export does export the whole date (including the time) however we understand how this might not be useful when your events do not have a time component and therefore we will looking at changing this in a future update. In regards to the characters with accents, we have tested this on our end and haven't been able to replicate the problem you are seeing. Are you able to email us both your timeline file and .csv file to support@aeontimeline.com ? This will help us work out what the issue is. If you feel uncomfortable sending all your data, you can create a new example timeline which just has one event with the accented character causing the problem, and send that and the associated csv file instead. The exported files will be encoded with UTF-8, perhaps whatever application you are opening it in is expecting a different encoding? If that is true, you might need to change the encoding of the exported file. We have instructions on our help page here: https://help .aeontimeline.com/article/73-import-export-csv on how to convert files to UTF-8 encoding, the same process would apply for other types of encoding.
