Some Kind of Warning When Scenes Out of Order??

Sometimes I reorder scenes in Scrivener but fail to reorder the timeline events. Other times I apparently drag scenes to the wrong location on the timeline. Currently, the only way I have of checking for this is to manually go through each scene, find it on the timeline, and check that it's in the right order. I don't suppose there's a way to catch those errors either automatically or more easily. For example, if I could include numbering of the scenes in the Sync panel, I could easily see if any are out of order. Hope that makes sense. Thanks.

Hi, Unfortunately no, there is no way at the moment to keep the order of documents in the Scrivener binder the same as the order of events, or to check between them to see if they are different. The system was written so that the order of documents in Scrivener could be independent of the events in the timeline - eg. if someone is writing a non-linear story. You can sync dates between documents so you know when events occurred, but not to change the order of the documents. We do plan to add functionality in the next version that will allow the syncing of the position of documents in Scrivener. Jess

I do find that I frequently have to check the order of the events. What would help is just a warning about events whose order in the timeline is different from their order in ATL's binder. For example, if out-of-order events were highlighted somehow, it would help (difficult). Or if I could choose Timeline/Check Order and get a list of the out-of-order events, that would be good (easier).
