Properties are global?

Hello All! I'm brand new to AT, and I'm trying to use it to project manage the process of composing music for film. The hierarchy is simple. I have Film at the top level which is parent to Versions (edits change all the time). Each version is parent to Cues, or specific pieces of music in the film. My questions is: is it possible to have a different set of properties for events at different levels in the hierarchy? Film and Cues don't have the same properties in real life. Am I missing something, or is it only possible to create properties that apply to every event? Thanks, - Jason

Hi Jason, Yes it is only possible to create properties that apply to every event. Of course you do not need to use each property for each event (you can leave fields blank), but all the property options will appear the inspector for every event. Jess

OK. Got it. It's not a big deal in the inspector, but it's more of a problem in the timeline display. I'd like to display properties for top-level events, but that also turns them on for display at every level, and they don't make sense at the leaves. A feature request: attach Properties to Role instead of/in addition to global? Thanks, - Jason

Hi Jason, Thanks for that. We will add this to our list of possible features to implement in the future. Jess
