How to hide event times in timeline?

I can't find this anywhere in the forum or documentation. The events' start and end times take up a lot of space in the timeline display and for almost all of my timelines the day is the most specific I need to get. All of my events end up with 0:00:00 and 24:00:00 taking up unnecessary space. Is there a way to hide the times, or even set the whole timeline to only get as specific as the date?

Go to View, Display Settings, and then uncheck the box that says "show event dates"

Hi, If you wish to still show an events date, but not show the time, then you can manually delete the timeline from the date in the Range tab of the Inspector. When adding dates, if you are zoomed in a lot on your timeline it will automatically add times as a default. However you can manually delete them yourself in the Start and End Date input boxes. If you zoom out more when adding your dates, you should reach a point where it only defaults to the day precision. Jess

Thanks - that's what I want. To show the event date, but not the time.
