Active web links in expanded events

I set the expanded view of events so that it display the links of the event. Problem is, external links (webpage URLs) are not active: if clicked they don't open the destination in the browser but simply show the QuickLook preview (i.e. the browser icon). If you want to open the link you have to resort to the Inspector. Present behaviour (version 2) defeats the purpose of showing a link in timeline. Will version 3 introduce any changes in this respect?

I stand corrected: you don't need the Inspector to open a link since the QL preview include a button "Open in Safari". Anyway that's still a click that could be avoided if the link directly opened the URL.
