Hi, You can set up your own property to use to fade events on the timeline. However you can only choose to have an event fully faded or not, there is no slightly fading of edges if this is what you were after to represent uncertain dates. If you open Timeline Settings (the cog icon) and expand Properties, you can add a new one by clicking the green plus sign next to the "Properties" title. You can name it something like "Date Uncertain", and choose its type to be Yes/No. Then tick the "Fade events based on this property" check box and click OK. Now when you go to the inspector you can see a "Date Uncertain" option for each event under the Values tab. If you tick the box for an event, this event will now appear faded on the timeline. I hope this is helpful to you. You will be glad to hear in the next version of Aeon Timeline we will have better handling of uncertainly with dates. Jess
Thanks this helps a lot! This: "here is no slightly fading of edges if this is what you were after to represent uncertain dates." would be the option i prefer. Hopefully next version will do something like that. Any idea when next version is planned? Thanks anyway it is a great software.
Hi, The next version is currently in beta testing and we hope to release in within the next couple of months. Jess
