Move events order in event view WITHOUT affecting dates

My novel is a time travel thing. I desperately need to be able to display events on the events view in *correct scene order* (as in the order they play out in the book), and the scenes in *correct chronological order* on timeline view (as they do by default). At the moment i add my first scene which is in 2050 then my second scene which is 100 years previous but the dates auto update when i move them in event view. Is this possible? I can't use the software unless I can fix this sadly. Thank you!

Hi, Unfortunately no, this is not possible in Aeon Timeline at the moment, you are only able to create a timeline of chronological events. However we are adding this functionality to the next version, where you will be able to create both a chronological order and a narrative order independent of an event's dates. Jess

Fab! Thank you so much for your feedback tbh it iss super helpful even though it's a 'no' because i spent 2 hrs trying with settings etc and it was driving me round the twist. Any idea on release of next version? I can use in meantime, my narrative order can be in Scrivener and this is the 'True' timeline then. Thanks for the feedback again, my novel has become tremendously complicated and this will really help me.
