Hi, Version 3 isn't available yet, we are hoping to submit it to the App Store for review this week, and then the release date would depend on the time taken for Apple to do the review process. Jess
Hi Jess, I'm confused. Seems like the PC version is finished, but nothing will be released until the Apple version is submitted to the Apple App store and then reviewed, favorably, by them. Am I right? Sincerely, Flin
Hi Flin, Yes, while the Windows version does not need the extra time to be reviewed by Apple, we are wanting to launch all versions together so that it is available to users equally across platforms. We don't want a situation where users can only use it on some devices, but not all, so the release of the Windows version will also have to wait for the App Store review process. Jess
Regarding Apple (God help us!): Does iOS version 3.0 sync with iOS Scrivener . That seemed to be a big choke point with the previous version . . . I'm must being grouchy about having to wait for Apple.
Hi, No unfortunately iOS version 3 doesn't sync with iOS Scrivener. There are technical limitations in both iOS and Scrivener's implementation on iOS that preclude this option still. However we do continue to look at the OS updates and talk to the people at Scrivener from time to time to see if it could become possible in the future. Jess
Hi, We are currently expecting to release version 3 next week. Jess
Jess, that's good news. I've always been an Aeon fan, but I confess in recent months I had drifted away from it. This afternoon I needed to sort out some misdeeds by a local government office, couldn't easily see the relationships in time, and remembered Aeon. This was just straight entry into Aeon's UI. I also have an OmniOutliner template that exports through CSV directly into Aeon. From Devonthink, I use custom metadata with the fields Aeon wants, so I can also go without human intervention or scripting directly from Devonthink to Aeon. Count me back on the bandwagon and eager to see version 3.
